Resin Injection Molding

Resin injection molding is a closed mold process in composite manufacturing where material is injected under pressure into a sealed mold cavity containing dry reinforcement materials. This enables consistent part quality, high fiber wet-out, and excellent surface finish, while minimizing air entrapment and defects commonly found in open mold techniques. Closed mold methods also reduce volatile emissions and improve worker safety.
