Aerospace

Much has been done recently to push forward the development of pilot less aircraft, known as Unmanned Arial Vehicle systems (UAVs). The obvious potential for UAVs lies in their surveillance and monitoring capabilities, being particularly useful for such purposes as border control observation.

Case Study: VULTURE UAV

A prime example of our expertise is our involvement in the manufacturing of the VULTURE UAV. This fully automated system relies on a modular structure made from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) composites. The production process requires the precise application of a two-component epoxy resin system with a strict 100:38 mixing ratio. Kirkco’s DOPAG ELDO-MIX 101 gear pump metering and mixing system ensures the accuracy and consistency required to achieve the desired material properties, with output rates of up to 1.2 liters per minute.

As the aerospace industry continues to push the boundaries of innovation, Kirkco is committed to providing high-quality equipment and cutting-edge technologies necessary to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
