Drum Pumps For Lubricants

KIRKCO offers specially designed drum pumps for the processing of low to medium viscosity lubricants. The robust and easily maintainable double acting piston pump delivers greases and oils directly, efficiently and without air pockets (air bubbles) from original containers. Different types of follower plates are available to cover all kind of container sizes and forms (cylindrical, conical, with beads, cartridges etc.).

Kirkco’s lubricant pumps are suitable as central material feed systems as well as individual feed systems. The pumps are characterized by their modular design, which can be expanded according to customer requirements with various options such as mixers, filters or external connection for monitoring and controlling. To reduce the system pressure during downtimes and prevent material separation a pressure release unit can be integrated. For the minimization of material waste there is the possibility to use a drum bottom detector, which takes care that the alarm settings can be adjusted more accurately to the used drum type than common systems.

If required, manual 1- or 2-hand safety operation is available as well. To guarantee a continuous material feeding during container changeovers the pumps are available as tandem version. As soon the first drum pump reaches it’s empty level the system automatically switches to the second pump to ensure an uninterrupted material supply.

KIRKCO drum pumps with 2-hand control are used for the process-safe delivery of medium to high viscosity lubricants from their original container (from cartridges to 180 kg containers).

Thanks to the pneumatic tracking of the follower plate, the lubricant is optimally fed to the suction pipe at every filling level, even with conical containers or drums with beads.

The pump switches off automatically shortly before complete emptying, thus preventing air from being sucked in.

This pump is ideally suited as feed pumps for dosing/metering stations or dosing valves in assembly lines and at workplaces.

Further advantages of the KIRKCO Drum Pump:

  • high delivery rate
  • complete emptying of the grease container, thus no expensive lubricant losses
  • expandable with various options
  • from 25 kg version also as available as double drum pumps with automatic changeover (no interruption of flow rate when changing containers)

Selection follower plates:

We are happy to calculate the follower plate for you. To come up with the right size we need the following

  • lubrication typ
  • internal top-diamete
  • internal bottom-diameter
  • container height

Material Pressure Regulators

The well-proven KIRKCO material pressure regulators are used to reduce the material pressure and smooth out pressure fluctuations when piston pumps are used as material supply. The required working pressure can be set easily by continuous adjusting screw in a range of 2 to 150 bar, depending on the pump pressure and the model size of the pressure regulator. A remote controlled version is available as well.

The KIRKCO material pressure regulator can be used when there are high quality requirements, for example in case of small-volume metering, continuous applications or shot and spray applications. It is specifically designed for the precise metering of lubricants, silicones and reactive materials like adhesives. For high reactive or abrasive materials, KIRKCO offers the pressure valves in stainless steel and diaphragm seal. Thanks to our broad portfolio, the right material pressure regulator can be found for almost all kinds of applications.

Optionally pressure gauges for material in- and outlet, heating and a mounting set are available. Additionally we provide a safety cap, which makes sure the set pressure cannot be changed by unauthorized people

DRUM PUMPS AND TRANSFER PUMP

Clean and reliable feeding of oils, grease and adhesives

If we want to achieve perfect results with grease and oil metering, it is important that our material be pumped efficiently and without air pockets (air bubbles). An uninterrupted and reliable material supply is absolutely essential to achieve that. With every application, the selection of an optimum feeding system must consider factors such as material properties, process parameters and container size. The KIRKCO product portfolio offers an extensive range of solutions for fluid metering, including drum pumps, transfer pumps and pressure tanks. All KIRKCO feeding systems rely on the proven technology of piston or gear pumps. Moreover, thanks to their modular design, they can be individually configured to match the application and material specifics.

KIRKCO metering valves are suitable for the metering and application of low to high-viscosity media such as greases, oils, adhesives, sealants and silicones. They are used in all areas of industry. The metering valves meet all the criteria required for optimal metering results: high precision, excellent reproducibility and high quality standards.

The dispensing valves are available in three different forms:

Metering valves enable dot-form material application based on the volumetric metering principle. In each metering cycle, the contents of the metering chamber are discharged, triggered by a signal. The volume can be adjusted precisely and repeated with an extremely high level of precision in mass production. Metering valves are pneumatically controlled and cover shot sizes of 0.001 ml to 100 ml. The needle metering valve is suitable for very small volumes of up to 3 ml per shot. The chamber metering valve covers a wider range of metering volumes than the needle metering valve and also offers higher process reliability thanks to its functionality. The metering valves can be easily integrated into automated production lines. If manual application is necessary, KIRKCO’s handheld metering valve offers a quick and convenient solution for use in manual workplaces.

KIRKCO’s range covers various series and different sizes, ensuring that the right valve is available for every type of application. Special fittings and adapters enable use even in complex situations.
