PCP Metering Valves have been designed for precise metering/dosing of fluids and pastes and are especially suitable for abrasive media and for Metering/Dosing and dispensing proportional to speed. Accuracy and repeatability is ± 1%.

PCP Metering Valve is based on the volumetric principle of an endless (eccentric) piston whereas the core components rotor and stator form a perfectly sealed metering chamber. The eccentric movement of the rotor allows for a low-shear motion of the medium from one chamber to the next chamber without compressing the media. The metering chamber is optimally designed for dispensing liquids and pastes containing fillers.

By combining the principle of the eccentric screw pump with precision control of the metering time and rotor speed, the new PCP Metering / Dosing Valves supports the proportional volume to speed metering application of various lubricant / adhesives / epoxies / thermal paste in quantities with the highest precision and repeatable accuracy.

Since the motor controller can also turn the rotor backward, this PCP Metering / Dosing Valves, guarantee clean metering without dripping. Precise, reliable and consistent volumetric metering is possible thanks to the adjustable application speed and rotor rotation.

Advantages

With improvement adaptation of the rotor and stator geometries, PCP Metering Valves have been designed to be significantly smaller than earlier systems. This makes the progressive cavity pump particularly well-suited for use with small metering robots, since the centrifugal forces in fast, dynamic traverse paths cannot influence the pump.

Because of the design this self-contained metering device is able to accurately dispense liquids and pastes with up to 60% filler content, whereby the external integration of the metering pump is made possible independently of pressure regulators. The metering quantity can be set to be absolutely linear; the standard deviation of metering accuracy as well as repeatability is ± 1% or less.
